On the obverse, the coins depict a stylized composition of picturesque landscapes, sign buildings and monuments of the city of Kiev, framed by chestnut leaves - a symbolic business card of the capital. Below is a mirror background: a musical state with a record of Igor Shamo musical, denominations 2 with a graphic hryvnia symbol and a year of coinage - 2025. In the center there is a small state emblem . Below the right, the logo of the banknote and mint of the National Bank of Ukraine is indicated.
The reverse of the coin depicts a stylized portrait of Igor Shamo, who thinks of creating a new music masterpiece. Under the portrait is a musical state, symbolizing the composer's musical heritage. To the left of the portrait vertically indicates the inscriptions of games / Shamo and the years of life of the artist 1925–1982. The reverse composition is completed by the images and silhouettes of chestnut leaves, which emphasize the inseparable relationship of the maestro with Kiev.
The commemorative coin is dedicated to a prominent Ukrainian composer who has left an unforgettable trace in the musical heritage of our country. Igor Shamo is the author of numerous symphonies, chamber works and songs. His music is full of mental warmth and patriotism, and the glorious composition "How not you to love you, my Kiev!" Since 2014 she has become the official anthem of Kiev.
