
Atamanchuk Volodymyr
Biography
Volodymyr Atamanchuk (born 18 July 1961 in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian sculptor, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and a graduate of the Kyiv Art Institute. In 1985-1997 he worked as a sculptor at the Kyiv creative production association Khudozhnyk; since 1997 he has been chief artist-sculptor of the NBU Mint. His early coin works already connected academic sculpture with the technical discipline of minting: the Volodymyr Sosiura model and the designs and plaster models for 80 Years of the Declaration of Ukrainian Unity and 900 Years of the Novhorod-Siverskyi Principality.
