The obverse of the coin features: at the top - a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, under which the inscription - UKRAINE; a stylized laurel wreath symbolizing glory and victory is depicted in a circle on the background of the pattern from MM-14 ("The camouflage pattern of the 2014 sample", also known as "pixel" and "Ukrainian pixel"); below – denomination of 20 and graphic sign of hryvnia. In the central part, an octagonal cartouche on a mirror background depicts the logo, under which the inscriptions: NATIONAL / BANK OF UKRAINE / 2025, as well as the designation of the metal, its assay and mass in purity: AU 900 7.78. At the bottom left is the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin, on a mirror background, Michael the arch-strategist is depicted; on the right and left are stylized silhouettes of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, rotorcraft and anti-tank hedgehogs, which compositionally emphasize the struggle for state independence; around the circle is the inscription: ...FOR US AND THE SOULS OF THE RIGHTEOUS AND THE STRENGTH OF ARCHISTRATE MIKHAIL (a line from Taras Shevchenko's poem "Haydamaki"; executed in the font "ChebanykSansN.2017 © VasylChebanyk").
