Coin Roundhead Beetle (Neogobius melanostomus) 5 UAH, market price 30.01.2026

On the obverse of the coin, the central place is occupied by a stylized image of the contour of the Sea of Azov with the adjacent Ukrainian territories. The design is made in the form of relief horizontal stripes symbolizing sea waves. In the upper right part there are state symbols: the small state coat of arms of Ukraine and, below, the year of minting — 2025. along the right edge there is a vertical name of the country — "Ukraine". At the bottom of the coin is indicated the face value (5 Hryvnia) and the logo of the NBU banknote and mint is placed. On the lower semicircle there is an inscription in Ukrainian and English:" the sea of Azov " and "the SEA of AZOV"

The reverse shows two round gobies in their natural biotope-on a sandy – muddy bottom with rocks and aquatic vegetation. The image is made using color printing. In the foreground, a clutch of eggs is highlighted, which emphasizes the important reproductive and ecological role of this species. The species name "round Bull" is placed in a semicircle at the top, and the Latin name (NEOGOBIUS MELANOSTOMUS)is placed at the bottom.
