Coin Arch-strategist Mikhail 10 UAH, market price 15.03.2026

The obverse of the coin features: at the top, the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, under which is the inscription - UKRAINE, in a circle, on the background of a pattern of stylized Old Russian Kyiv hryvnias - a weight, counting and monetary unit, a stylized laurel wreath is depicted, at the bottom is the denomination - 10; in the center, in an octagonal cartouche on a mirror background, the logo is depicted, under which the inscriptions: NATIONAL/BANK OF UKRAINE/2023.

On the reverse of the coin, on a mirror background, Michael the arch-strategist is depicted (an element of decoration is local gilding); around the circle there is an inscription: ...FOR US AND THE SOULS OF THE RIGHTEOUS, AND THE STRENGTH OF ARCHISTRATE MIKHAIL (lines from T.G. Shevchenko's poem "Haydamaki") - the font "ChebanykSansN.2017 © VasylChebanyk" is used.

Dedicated to the archangel, who is one of the most revered biblical characters and is referred to as the arch-strategist-in-chief. Archangel Michael is an unchanging fighter against the forces of evil, a defender of faith, a patron of soldiers who fight for a righteous cause and protect good. Arch-strategist Mykhail is the "heavenly defender" of the Ukrainian army. Reverence towards the arch-strategist Michael has been preserved from the times of the Grand Dukes to the present day - he became a symbol of the heavenly protection of the power of the Kiev princes, later this respect was recorded not only toponymically - in the names of church buildings, but also heraldically - on the coats of arms of Kyiv, Kyiv Voivodeship, and Kyiv Governorate. Today, his image is present in the attributes of Ukrainian paratroopers and once again represents the fight against the forces of evil.
