On the obverse of the medal there are: top - small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscription in a semicircle - the National Bank of Ukraine; The octagonal cartouche on the mirror background shows allegorical female figures that symbolize trade, wealth, well -being, power and generosity and keep a detailed scroll with the image of the National Bank of Ukraine. Below - the year of coinage of the medal - 2017.

The reverse of the medal depicts a historic two -storey building of the bank over which in a cartouche from floral ornament - a trident, under the building - an inscription 100/ years. In a circle there are inscriptions: the foundation of the Ukrainian State Bank (above the semicircle), the Ukrainian People's Republic (below the semicircle).

The memorable medal was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917 - 1921 and the creation of the First Central Bank of Ukraine. One of the first legislative acts of the Central Council of the Ukrainian People's Republic was the law on the establishment of a Ukrainian State Bank, which played an important role in the liberation competitions of Ukrainians of those years, as well as in their acquisition of their own experience of banking.
