A set of two commemorative coins ``Volodymyr's Cathedral in the city of Kyiv'' in a case 20 UAH, market price 16.03.2026

On the obverse of the coins from the set are placed: at the top - the inscription UKRAINE, small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine; below – denomination of coins 10 and graphic sign of hryvnia, minting year 2023; in the center are fragments of the central gate of the cathedral, which depict Princess Olga and Prince Volodymyr, to the left and right of them are seraphim, whose images are placed on the central dome of the cathedral (pad printing is used).

The reverse of the coins from the set depicts: in the center - Volodymyr's Cathedral / the image of the Mother of God with a baby above the iconostasis (laser matting), on both sides - fragments of the painting of the columns and arches of the cathedral; below are the inscriptions: VOLODMYRSKY / CATHEDRAL / 1862–1882.

The set of two commemorative coins is dedicated to one of Kyiv's architectural pearls of national importance - Volodymyr's Cathedral. Built in the neo-Byzantine style, it attracts attention both with its history and interior painting - a true masterpiece of art. A significant number of donations were collected for the construction of the cathedral, which lasted 20 years - from 1862 to 1882. For more than 10 years, work continued on the interior decoration of the temple, unique paintings are its main value, thanks to which the cathedral received the status of a cultural monument. On the walls of the temple are depicted not only the images of saints, but also historical subjects: the baptism of Prince Volodymyr, the baptism of Kyivans, as well as portraits of historical figures.
