On the coin obverse within the frame of old-Rus ornamental pattern there are depicted the small National Emblem of Ukraine and the conventionalized inscription: 2000 / УКРАЇНА / 10 / ГРИВЕНЬ, (Ukraine/ 10/ hryvnia/ 2000), as well as indication of the metal, its fineness - Ag 925 and the coin weight in fineness 31,1 and the logotype of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine
On the coin reverse in the foreground there are depicted the Prince Volodymyr against the background of the scene of baptism of the the prince himself and the conventionalized inscriptions: 978 ВОЛОДИМИР (Volodymyr) 1015 (above), КНЯЖА УКРАЇНА (Princes of Ukraine) - below
The coin is dedicated to the Great Kievan Prince and statesman, during whose reign the formation of the old-Rus state was completed and the Christianity as the state religion was introduced.
