On the coin obverse there is depicted a sculptural composition with Melpomene (scenic art symbol) which decorates the theatre portal; on the right from it there are the small National Emblem of Ukraine and semicircular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) - above, ДЕСЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (10/ hryvnia) - beneath); under the sculptural composition there are: Ag 925, designation of metal, 31,1g, its weight in fineness, the NBU Mint logotype and 2005, the coin issue year

On the coin reverse there is a depiction of the theatre building and the monument to Olha Kobylianska, which is located in front of the theatre; beneath it there is an inscription: 100 РОКІВ (100 years) around the coin circumference there is inscribed: ЧЕРНІВЕЦЬКИЙ МУЗИЧНО-ДРАМАТИЧНИЙ ТЕАТР ім. О.КОБИЛЯНСЬКОЇ (the Olha Kobylianska Music and Drama Theatre in Chernivtsi)
