Coin Holy Spirit Church in Rohatyn 10 UAH, market price 20.03.2026

On the obverse above there are the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular legend: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine); the conventionalized image of the 16th century icon of the temple - `Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles` - with the candelabra to the right and left thereof; below - the coin issue year 2009 and the face value 10 ГРИВЕНЬ (10 hryvnias).

On the reverse there is depicted the church with the legends: ЦЕРКВА/СВЯТОГО/ДУХА/XVI/СТ. (Church/of Holy/Spirit/XVI/century) above and РОГАТИН (Rohatyn) below, embowed.

The coin is dedicated to an outstanding example of Ukrainian wooden temples of old types - Holy Spirit Church in Rohatyn (1598). Its iconostasis being now in a good state of preservation has extraordinarily high artistic value. The temple is a monument that has immortalized the talent of masters from Halychyna for architecture, carving and icon painting.
