On the obverse there are: above - the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (to the right); beneath the Coat of Arms there is the legend 10/ГРИВЕНЬ/2012 (10/hryvnias/2012) with the Henri Delaunay Cup placed thereunder against the background of conventionalized ornament consisting of Euro-2012-related graphic characters. Below there is the legend indicating the coin`s metal, fineness - Ag 925, weight in fineness - 31.1 g and the logotype of the NBU Mint.
On the reverse there is depicted an image of a football player and part of a ball; to the left there is the legend УЄФА ЄВРО 2012™ УКРАЇНА - ПОЛЬЩА (UEFA EURO 2012™ Poland - Ukraine).
The coin is dedicated to an important sporting event - the final tournament of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, which is to take place in Ukraine and Poland in 2012. The coin, together with another one, comprises a set of two commemorative coins enclosed in a capsule.
