Coin Seahorse (Hippocampus) 2 UAH, market price 28.01.2026

On the coin obverse set in the wreath made of images of plants and animals there is engraved the small National Emblem of Ukraine and a legend: on the coin made of German silver there is an inscription: УКРАЇНА, 2, ГРИВНІ, 2003 (Ukraine/ 2/ hryvnia/ 2003), as well as the logotype of the NBU Mint is depicted.

On the coin reverse there is the Hippocampus is presented a picture of a seahorse surrounded by the inscriptions: МОРСЬКИЙ КОНИК ЧОРНОМОРСЬКИЙ (Black Sea seahorse) and HIPPOCAMPUS GUTTULATUS MICROSTEPHANUS

The coin is dedicated to a representative of the Spicular family (pipefishes and seahorses), the only endemic subspecies of the Black Sea Hippocampus in the fauna of Ukraine that inhabits the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea
