On the obverse of the medal there are: top - small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the right of which year - 2017; In the center on the mirror background - the building where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is now located - the central executive body, which provides foreign policy of the state, and inscriptions: 100/years/Years (under the building), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (semicircle up), ministry (uraine); To the right is the logo of the banknote and mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The reverse of the medal on the right depicts a building on the street. Tereshchenko, in which 100 years ago was located the General Secretariat of International Affairs, to the left above the building in a cartouche from floral ornament - a trident; Under the building - inscription 100/years/years. In a circle there are inscriptions: Ukrainian Diplomatic Service (Update), Ukrainian Diplomatic Service (below).

The memorable medal is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the events of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917 - 1921 and the creation of the First Foreign Ministry of Ukraine - the General Secretariat of International Affairs. The General Secretariat of International Affairs was formed in December 1917 as part of the General Secretariat of the Ukrainian People's Republic. His duties were determined: the implementation of international relations of the state and the protection of interests of Ukrainian citizens outside the UNR.
