To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921 and the first Ukrainian paper money, the National Bank of Ukraine issued a souvenir banknote "one hundred karbovans", which reproduces the design of the first Ukrainian banknote - a state credit ticket with a face value of 100 karbovans (the author of the sketch of the banknote is George Narbut). The image of the Trident on this banknote became one of the main factors in the approval of the Grand Ducal sign of Vladimir the great as the state coat of arms of the UPR and was almost two months ahead of the relevant law of the Central Rada on the state coat of arms. When making a souvenir banknote, a special protected paper was used, which consists of flax fibers - up to 85% and cotton pulp. The paper of the banknote contains a local watermark in the form of a trident, the middle tooth of which is crowned with a cross. Dimensions of the banknote : - 80 x 170 mm. The main image of the front side of the souvenir banknote is a stylized state credit card of 1917 with a face value of 100 rubles (front side), to the left of which are the inscriptions: Ukraine (top), before the events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921 (bottom); above the inscription on the left is a trident, a historical symbol that is located on a 1917 credit card. The main image of the reverse side of the souvenir banknote is a stylized state credit ticket of 1917 with a face value of 100 rubles (reverse side), to the right of which are the inscriptions: Ukraine (top), to the events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921 and 100/ years (bottom).
