Its own monetary unit is one of the main attributes of a sovereign state. The need to issue national money arose every time after the restoration of Ukrainian statehood - both during the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921, and after Ukraine gained independence in 1991. On the surface of change and circulating coins, in the process of using them in circulation and storing them in a set, signs of oxidation may appear in the form of darkening of the surface of coins. The set of "Coins of Ukraine 2018" includes change coins of Ukraine in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 kopecks, two circulating coins with a face value of 1 Hryvnia each and a commemorative coin with a face value of 5 Hryvnia `100th anniversary of the issue of the first postage stamps of Ukraine` (dedicated to steps-a bargaining chip of the Ukrainian people's Republic). Coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 kopecks are made of stainless steel, coins in denominations of 10, 25, 50 kopecks are made of low - carbon steel with a brass coating, coins in denominations of 1 Hryvnia are made of aluminum bronze. The coin with a face value of 5 hryvnias is made of nickel silver, the finishing element is pad printing.
