Coin The 50th Anniversary of Establishment of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine 5 UAH, market price 12.06.2026

On the obverse there are: the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine and the semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (above); below there are the coin face value 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (5 hryvnias) and issue year 2011 with the logo of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint to the right; in the centre there is the composition symbolizing the nominations of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine - an open book, quill, palette, brushes together with the lines from Taras Shevchenko`s poem `I mertvym, i zhyvym...` (`To the Dead and the Living...`) `... Учітесь, читайте, / І чужому научайтесь, / Й свого не цурайтесь` (...Learn, read, / Both foreign study, / And (our) own don`t shun.) and his signature.

On the reverse there are: a portrait of T.H.Shevchenko (to the right), the inscription (to the left) 50/ РОКІВ/ НАЦІОНАЛЬНА/ ПРЕМІЯ/ УКРАЇНИ/ ІМЕНІ/ ТАРАСА/ ШЕВЧЕНКА (50/ years/ National / Prize/ of Ukraine / named after/ Taras/ Shevchenko) and a conventionalized branch (beneath).
