Coin Solomiya Krushelnytska 2 UAH, market price 28.01.2026

The obverse of the coin features: in the center - an image of Solomia Krushelnytska in the stage image of Aida, on both sides of which are stylized scenes decorated with decorative ornaments, on the left - a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine; inscriptions: UKRAINE (above, on the background of a decorative ornament), 2022 (right), TWO HRYVNA (below); logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (on the right, above the mintage year).

On the reverse of the coin, on a mirror background, there is a portrait of Solomia Krushelnytska, to the right of which is a stylized butterfly wing, symbolizing one of the most famous images of the singer in the opera "Madame Butterfly"; inscriptions on the left: 1872/1952 (years of the singer's life), SOLOMIYA KRUSHELNYTSKA (half circle).

The commemorative coin is dedicated to the Ukrainian opera and chamber singer (lyric-dramatic soprano) Solomia Amvrosiivna Krushelnytskyi. "Unforgettable", "unsurpassed", "unrepeatable", "the only one in the world", "the most beautiful and charming Butterfly" - that's what music critics called her. Solomiya Krushelnytska performed various soprano parts, in particular from the operas of Richard Wagner, Richard Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, created more than 60 opera parts that had a great influence on the development of world vocal art; brilliantly performed Ukrainian folk songs, popularized Ukrainian music. She was connected by creative friendship with Ivan Franko, Vasyl Stefanyk, Olga Kobylyanska, Mykola Lysenko, Oleksandr Myshuga.
