The front of the notes features a portrait of Ivan Franko (1856 – 1916), a prominent Ukrainian prose writer, poet, playwright, translator, opinion journalist, scholar, and a public figure.

The back of the notes depicts the Lviv Opera House.

This set contains a silver souvenir banknote that reproduces the design of the UAH 20 banknote designed in 2018, and a paper UAH 20 banknote designed in 2018. The silver banknote is made of 999.9 silver, has a fine weight of no less than 124.4 g, is sized 133 х 66 х 1.35 mm, and is decorated with a hologram. The paper banknote is placed in a Plexiglas container, and is sized 69 х 130 mm.
