On the coin obverse within the bead circle there is depicted the composition symbolizing the national idea of Unification of Ukraine: the small National Emblem of Ukraine in circumference of floral ornamentation which is supported by a lion and a Cossack holding a musket. There are also conventionalized inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2 ГРИВНІ, 2003 (Ukraine/ 2003 /2 hryvnia) and the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine

On the coin reverse there is a portrait of Viacheslav V.M.Chornovil and around the coin circumference there are circular inscriptions: В`ЯЧЕСЛАВ ЧОРНОВІЛ (Viacheslav Chornovil) and his years of life: 1937-1999.
