A commemorative banknote with a face value of 20 hryvnias of the 2018 model signed by the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Kirill Shevchenko was put into circulation for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The commemorative banknote contains all the elements of protection of the 20 Hryvnia banknote of the 2018 model with an additional application on the front side, in place of the watermark, screen printing in OVMI identity ink – “30 years of independence of Ukraine”; the size of the banknote is 69 x 130 mm. The main image of the front side is a portrait of Ivan Franko. The main image of the reverse side is the building of the Lviv Opera House.
