The obverse design is unified with the other denominations of the series, executed in brown tones.
- Artistic Image: On the left, within a decorative rosette, is a depiction of the boat with Lybid — a fragment of the monument to the founders of Kyiv.
- Inscriptions: "УКРАЇНА" (Ukraine) at the top center, "КУПОН" (Coupon) below it. A large numeral "100" is centered, followed by the word "КАРБОВАНЦІВ".
- Issuer Data: At the bottom, "НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ" (National Bank of Ukraine) and the issue year "1991" are indicated.
The reverse side is executed in the same color scheme as the obverse.
- Artistic Image: In the central part of the banknote, Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv is depicted within an oval frame of protective mesh.
- Denomination Elements: The number "100" is repeated in small decorative rosettes at all four corners of the banknote.
- Protective Background: The entire field is filled with a complex protective guilloche pattern.

The highest denomination in the first series of Ukrainian coupon-karbovanets, dated 1991. The banknote was manufactured in France by the "Imprimerie Spéciale de Fiduciaire" company. Like all lower denominations of this issue year, it lacks serial numbers and signatures.

- Color Palette: Brown (main print color) on a light brown background.
- Watermark: "Parquet" type (a grid of light diagonal lines across the entire field).
