The 50 Karbovanets of 1991 is one of the higher denominations of the first series of independent Ukraine. The banknote was manufactured in France by the "Imprimerie Spéciale de Fiduciaire" company. Its vibrant color makes it easily recognizable and a vital piece for any Ukrainian banknote collection.

• Size: 105 × 53 mm.
• Color Palette: Green (emerald) main color on a light green background.
• Watermark: "Parquet" type (light diagonal lines across the entire field).

Nuance: There is a noticeable variation in the shades of this banknote depending on the print run, ranging from pale green to deep emerald. Additionally, the 50 Karbovanets note was one of the first "large" denominations to be targeted by primitive counterfeits of that era, requiring the public to be extra vigilant about paper quality and print sharpness.
