The circulating commemorative coin issued by the National Bank of Ukraine on August 8, 2024, is dedicated to the Ukrainian Communications Branch, which provides daily communications and command-and-control support for the troops, overcoming complex challenges and threats to protect Ukraine in the information sphere and in cyberspace. The communications and cybersecurity branch is a specialized force responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining communications, information systems, combat control systems, and early-warning systems. It ensures effective data exchange between military units and safeguards cybersecurity in situations of emergency or martial law.
