2016 Ukraine Annual Coin Set - 20th Anniversary of Monetary Reform

This official set commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian Hryvnia. It features all circulating denominations struck in enhanced Prooflike quality. Ukraine first declared its intent to introduce its own currency in July 1990.

Coin Specifications & Exclusivity:

• 1, 2, 5 Kopecks: Material — Stainless steel. Minted exclusively for the set (10,000 pcs). These denominations were not released for circulation in 2016.
• 10 & 50 Kopecks: Material — Aluminum Bronze (non-magnetic). While standard 2016 circulation coins were mass-produced in steel (33.1M and 30.5M respectively), the bronze versions are unique to this set.
• 25 Kopecks: Material — Aluminum Bronze. This denomination was not minted for circulation in any metal in 2016. It is a set-exclusive rarity (10,000 pcs).
• 1 Hryvnia "Vladimir the Great": Material — Aluminum Bronze. Exclusive to the annual set (10,000 pcs); not found in circulation.
• 1 Hryvnia "20 Years of Monetary Reform": Commemorative aluminum-bronze coin. Mintage in sets: 10,000 pcs (an additional 50,000 pcs were issued in separate folders).

Collector's Value:

The set is highly prized as 5 out of the 8 included coins are exclusive to this release. The 10 and 50 kopeck denominations are notable for their metal composition (bronze instead of steel). With a total mintage of only 10,000 sets, this is one of the most significant releases in modern Ukrainian numismatics.
