Coin 25 kopek 2016 – 25 kopek 2016

The 25 kopeck coin is a small change coin. Introduced into circulation on September 2, 1996 — together with the introduction of the hryvnia.
The 25 kopeck coin has been gradually withdrawn from circulation since 2019 and is no longer legal tender since October 25, 2020.

A rare collectible coin that was never released for general circulation. This denomination was minted exclusively for the official NBU 2016 annual set "20 Years of Monetary Reform in Ukraine" with a limited mintage of 10,000 units.

The key feature is the material: the coin is made of aluminum bronze (non-magnetic), which distinguishes it from the standard steel circulation coins of that period. Struck in improved "uncirculated" quality with sharp relief and mint luster. It is an essential piece for a complete collection of Ukrainian circulation coins.
