Obverse: on top of the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 turns of tape underneath the letters "USSR", the symbol below if the coin denomination, the number "1" and below the word "RUBLE", the bottom edge year of issue "1987".

Reverse: on the background of the sky and flying rockets image of a fragment of the monument ke Tsiolkovsky in Moscow, his left in two lines, the date "1857", "1935" and in a semicircle the inscription "K. E. TSIOLKOVSKY".

Edge: two pressed the inscription "ONE RUBLE", between them the two pressed square pixels.
