Obverse: on top of the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 turns of tape underneath the letters "USSR", the symbol below if the coin denomination, the number "1" and below the word "RUBLE", the bottom edge year of issue "1986".
Reverse: in the centre the emblem of the International year of peace. At the bottom of a semicircle is the inscription "INTERNATIONAL YEAR of PEACE".
Edge: two pressed the inscription "ONE RUBLE", between them the two pressed square pixels.
